4th and 5th October, Daly Industrial Supply hosted the
first Floor Sanding
Training in Ireland by the American Sanders Sand & Finishing School.
Attended by more than 50 people who came from all around the country, from Contractors, Hire shops and those simply interested in enhancing their Floor Preparation experience.
The American Sanders Training Event allowed individuals to learn new and perfect their own techniques of floor preparation during the first visit of the American Sanders Training Team to Ireland.
During this Training, all who attended learned the aspects of sanding techniques for multiple kinds of finishes such as sanding patterns and techniques that make flatter floors, how to clock the buffer to eliminate scratch marks, Double style edging technique to achieve smoother edges and much more. American Sanders Sand & Finish Schools provided detailed hands-on training course designed to enhance the current skill set as a wood floor craftsman.
All the attendants got certified by the world-renowned Brand, American Sanders, and the United States based Trainer Manager, Daniel Boone.
Daniel has over 45 years of experience in the wood floor industry, working first for his father and then establishing his own business in 1982. A second-generation wood floor contractor became the former Technical Director at the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA). Daniel created a national curriculum for the wood flooring education program and trained over 10,000 students.
This 3-days Training Event was celebrated at the new premises of Daly Industrial Supply Company, based in Cork, Ireland.
All the staff were certified on how to operate and repair the wide range of machines that the company current stocks.
